Research Interest

Precision medicine through metabolism-based imaging and therapy: from laboratory to clinical translation. My major research focus is two-part. First, we are developing new clinical molecular imaging research technologies with MRI and mass spectrometry to predict poor outcomes in patients with prostate cancer at the time of diagnosis. Second, we are discovering the molecular basis for the effects of biological sex on cancer metabolism, identifying new methods on how imaging and therapy can be applied differently to males and females with cancer to improve outcomes for all.
