Siteman Annual Fund
This fund sustains and advances Siteman’s mission by supporting personalized patient care, groundbreaking research, community education, prevention efforts, and uplifting programs for cancer patients and their families. Every gift helps provide innovative treatment and compassionate care to cancer patients while furthering cutting-edge research to lessen the burden of this disease.
Honor a Loved One

Memoriam Language for Use in Obituaries
If you have lost a loved one and wish to encourage memorial contributions to Siteman, you may include specific wording in the obituary notice:
“The family requests contributions be made to the Siteman Cancer Center, MSC 1082-414-2555, 1 Brookings Drive., St. Louis, MO 63130 or online at siteman.wustl.edu/tribute. Please indicate the gift is in memory of [name] by writing a memo on your check.”

You can make an impact in the fight against cancer! Whether you have a personal connection to cancer or Siteman; want to honor or pay tribute to a family member, friend, or co-worker; or just host an event with your family and friends, each community fundraising event makes an impact in raising awareness and supporting Siteman’s mission to prevent cancer in the community and transform patient care through scientific discovery.
There are many types of events you can host to give back in a meaningful way including:
- Endurance (run/walk/bike/swim) event
- Food (bake sale/chili cook-off/BBQ) event
- Golf tournament
- Retail give back (percentage of product sales) event
- School or work (penny drive/jeans day/class competition) event

Catalyst Awards
Gifts to the Siteman Cancer Center Annual Fund support the Catalyst Awards — grants to researchers who have bold but untested ideas with the potential to transform what’s possible in cancer care. Catalyst Awards provide seed funding for scientists pursuing state-of-the-art strategies to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer. These awards, which fuel scientific work in all seven research programs at Siteman, empower investigators — often early in their careers — to take calculated risks and collect pilot data they need to ultimately receive additional funds from other grant organizations.
