Barnes-Jewish Hospital

Barnes-Jewish Hospital is the largest hospital in Missouri, caring for more patients than any other hospital in the state, and a member of BJC HealthCare, one of the nation’s largest healthcare organizations. An affiliated teaching hospital of WashU Medicine, the Barnes-Jewish Hospital has 1,800 medical staff members, many of whom are recognized by the well-known referral guide, The Best Doctors in America, as well as by Castle Connolly Top Doctors®. Barnes-Jewish Hospital is the adult teaching hospital for WashU Medicine and is one of three Level 1 trauma centers in St. Louis.

Barnes-Jewish Hospital’s care extends into the community. The hospital’s refugee health department supports new immigrants, assisting patients in 33 different languages and dialects. Its AWARE program counsels victims of domestic violence. The hospital also hosts more than 165 community education events annually.
