The first of its kind in the region, the new Gary C. Werths Building at Siteman Cancer Center reimagines outpatient cancer care. On the Washington University Medical Campus, it is the newest Siteman building to offer patient-focused, multidisciplinary care grounded in scientific breakthroughs and delivered by WashU Medicine physicians and BJC HealthCare.
The state-of-the-art facility showcases Siteman’s dedication, bringing innovative cancer care to patients just as it did in the beginning, over 25 years ago. The new Gary C. Werths Building at Siteman Cancer Center is the latest example of our leadership in cancer treatment, research, prevention, education and community outreach. Now open.

Dedicated Washington University physician-scientists research the biology of cancer with a focus on better ways to treat the disease and personalize care. Because of this scientific approach, Siteman patients have access to 700+ clinical trials, our community has access to cutting-edge care, and new discoveries on how to prevent and treat cancer are setting new standards across the globe.

Siteman Cancer Center offers access to more than 700 clinical trials designed to assess the effectiveness of innovative treatments and applications for every cancer type. We are honored to be one of only seven cancer centers in the nation that holds three or more Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) grants. The National Cancer Institute bestows these prestigious awards on centers able to create new pathways for cancer treatment.
