Research Interest

My research focuses on the application of mass spectrometry-based ‘omics’ technologies to address fundamental biological questions, with particular emphasis on the discovery of diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets for human diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), breast, prostate, and liver cancers, and leukemia. Additional interests include studying human pathogens and investigating the biological roles and regulatory mechanisms of post-translational modifications – including phosphorylation, glycosylation, methylation, acetylation, sumoylation, and ubiquitination – as well as chemical cross-linking applications in structural biology.
