Research Interest

My work for the past several years has focused on engineering adenoviral vectors for novel functional capacities. One aspect is the safe and efficient nucleic acid delivery to targeted cell populations in vivo, which remains a significant unmet need in the fields of cancer cell and gene therapy. We have developed strategies for enhanced gene transfer into primary B and T cells and dendritic cells in stringent in vivo contexts and can be combined with additional well characterized adenovirus modifications towards applications in immune cells engineering, gene therapy, vaccines, oncolytics in the context of cancer immunotherapy.
