Research Interest
We are trying to unravel the molecular mechanisms by which sunlight causes the mutations that lead to skin cancer by a combined synthetic, physical and biological approach. In addition, we are studying the biological consequences of DNA strand breaks induced by ionization radiation. We are also developing a completely new approach to chemotherapy that makes use of a cancer-specific mRNA to trigger the release of a cytotoxic agent.
