Cancer Research Symposium

Siteman Cancer Center’s annual symposium features trainees’ cancer research from all departments and all types of research, including basic, pre-clinical, clinical, and public health projects.

The next symposium will be October 30th, 2026.

Presentations include Undergraduate Students, Predoctoral Trainees, Postdoctoral Scholars, Fellows, and Junior Faculty. All trainees and mentors conducting cancer related research are encouraged to attend. In addition to trainee presentations, the symposium includes career development panel discussions, a keynote address from a renowned cancer researcher, and networking opportunities for trainees and mentors.

Abstract Submissions

Abstracts are open for submission through Friday, September 18, 2026.

Abstracts are encouraged from undergraduate students, predoctoral trainees, postdoctoral scholars, fellows, and early-career faculty. All cancer research projects are welcome, including basic/bench, pre-clinical, clinical, or public health. The top two presenters will each receive $500 awards. Limit 2 abstracts per submitter.

Registration

Sessions are open to all WU investigators. All cancer research trainees, high school through early-career faculty, those who aspire to have a career in cancer research, and faculty mentors are especially encouraged to attend.

Please register below if you plan to attend any part of the event. This includes anyone who has already submitted an abstract or plans to submit one.
